Over the past year, Southland Regional Association of REALTORS® has been working with the CARETS group to combine
the MLS systems from all the MLS' in southern California into one database.
This is being done so that our MLS members do not have to join multiple MLS' in
order to have access to the information they need.
In October, CARETS signed a contract with eProperty Data to create a commercial database for
CARETS. This database will combine the listings from CRIS-Net, CLAW, iTech,
MRMLS, SoCalMLS, the Desert Area MLS and Ventura County Regional Datashare. The
formats used will be the professional commercial forms developed for large
commercial MLS' and CIE's.
Because of these changes, Southland Regional Association has chosen not to renew the contract
with Catylist for the commercial CIE system. Catylist has been a good partner
for the past four years. It is only due to the CARETS expansion that SRAR has
chosen not to renew the contract.
The new CARETS Commercial system will be available during the first quarter of 2010. In the
meantime, the Commercial Division of SRAR will continue to offer many valuable
classes and events. Please visit this site often to stay updated on the
progress of the CARETS Commercial system and the classes and marketing meetings
being held by SRAR.
